Our Story

Once upon a time (okay, not that long ago), a nervous girl named Shelby walked into the original Lash and Brow Academy in Carina, Brisbane, with no beauty experience—just a dream and a whole lot of doubt.

She was the slowest student in her lash training class (true story), unsure if she could ever make it in the beauty industry. But she kept showing up. She practiced, fumbled, learned, and grew. And then one day—it clicked.

That moment sparked a transformation. Shelby went from unsure student to lash and brow expert, joining the team as an employee, sharpening her skills in eyelash extensions, brow shaping, brow lamination, and cosmetic tattooing. With grit, hustle, and a heart full of passion, she worked her way up to becoming a qualified beauty trainer.

Fast forward to 2025, and Shelby is now the proud owner of Lash and Brow Clinics & Academy, located in Holland Park, Brisbane. No longer the student, no longer the underdog—she’s a boss, a mentor, and a beauty industry powerhouse.

Shelby and her team now deliver industry-leading lash and brow training right here in Brisbane, offering in-person beauty courses that are raw, real, and ridiculously effective.
